Search continues for man missing in Joshua Tree National Park

Searchers continue to try to locate an Azusa Man, after he reportedly went missing in Joshua Tree National Park on June 20.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, 58 year-old, Michael Rodriguez , left his home located in the city of Azusa, California. Rodriguez has not been seen by family members or friends since then.

Later that evening Rodriguez’s vehicle was seen on video surveillance entering the Joshua Tree National Park. On June 30, 2016, Rangers from the National Park Service located Rodriguez’s vehicle (a 2016 Blue Hyundai Elantra) abandoned inside the park.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department and National Park Service are currently searching the park for Rodriguez. Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Rodriguez are encouraged to please contact Investigator Martin by calling 760-836-3215.

Mr. Rodriguez is 5’10, weighs approximately 195 pounds, with brown hair, and brown eyes.
