‘Ride-along’ with Desert Hot Springs Police Department
UPDATE: 6:15 p.m.
Events in Dallas, TX and Baton Rouge, LA where police officers lost their lives in the line of duty has officers on high alert.
KESQ’s and CBS Local 2’s Zak Dahlheimer rode along with Officer Adam Perez with the Desert Hot Springs Police to see first-hand what it’s like for those who wear the uniform every day.
Having been a police officer in Desert Hot Springs for about a year, Perez said while he and his fellow officers keep events like Dallas and Baton Rouge in the back of their minds, they still answer the call every day.
