Gang Task Force discover pound of heroin in drug raid

The Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force discovered over a pound of heroin and arrested one person after serving a narcotics related search warrant at a residence in the 62-450 block of Pierce Street, in Thermal Friday morning.

The search warrant resulted in the confiscation of over a pound of suspected heroin, over one thousand dollars in US currency, and other evidentiary items consistent with the sales of narcotics, said the Sheriff’s Department in a news release. The Narcotics found would be more than 20-thousand dollars street value.

45-year old Clemente Rodriguez, of Thermal, was arrested and booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio for, possession of heroin for sales.
