SCE restores power in Palm Desert

Southern California Edison reported a service outage Monday morning impacting 2,800 customers without electricity.

Most service was restored by 9:00 a.m.

The outage was reported at 6:29 a.m., and at one point impacted 2,979 customers.

Edison’s website said crews were analyzing the problem in Palm Desert and were initially expected to restore service to most customers by 7:29 a.m. There was no word on the outage’s cause or when it would be resolved.

KESQ News Channel 3 / CBS Local 2 News received a call from a viewer at Country Club and Monterey who reported an outage.
