Murder probe underway into deadly shooting in Desert Hot Springs

On Friday, sheriff’s deputies were investigating a Desert Hot Springs shooting that left a 19-year-old man dead and another man wounded.

Adrian Partida of Desert Hot Springs died at a hospital Monday, two days after he and another man were found shot, said sheriff’s Sgt. Walter Mendez. Partida and the other man were found at 4:18 p.m. Saturday in the 16100
block of Via Montana in an unincorporated area around Desert Hot Springs, Mendez said.

While Partida succumbed to his injuries, the other victim has since been discharged from the hospital. Sheriff’s deputies did not release any information on a potential suspect or suspects.
