CHP arrests man with $400k worth of meth
CHP arrested a North Shore resident who allegedly had $400,000 dollars worth of narcotics in his car in Coachella Tuesday afternoon.
31 year old Ismael Felix was stopped by a CHP officer on Highway 86 and Dillon Road Tuesday afternoon. During the search of Felix’s vehicle approximately 20 pounds of methamphetamine with a street value exceeding $400,000 was found. Felix was subsequently arrested for the transportation and possession of narcotics and being an unlicensed driver.
Deputies and officers assigned to the Coachella Valley Narcotics Task Force (CVNTF) and Investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Departments Special Investigations Bureau responded and assumed the investigation.
During the investigation a narcotics related search warrant was authored. With assistance from the Southern Coachella Valley Community Services District Team the warrant was served at a residence located in the 98-800 block of Avenue 69, in the un-incorporated community of North Shore. The search warrant resulted in the confiscation of a stolen motorcycle, a firearm, and suspected methamphetamine.
Felix was booked into the Riverside County jail, in Indio, for possession of methamphetamine for sales and transportation for sales.
