Five new guide dogs graduated from the Guide Dogs of the Desert program

Guide Dogs of the Desert hosted a special graduation celebration Saturday.

Five new guide dogs took to the stage with their new handlers. Handlers traveled from all over the country for guide dog of the desert’s unique and intimate experience.

Handlers and their dogs train and live on-site for 28 days. But guide dog training starts two years prior to their training in the valley.
