Law Enforcement Memorial Bike Ride stops in Palm Springs to honor fallen officers
Members of law enforcement are honoring their fallen comrades by taking the Law Enforcement Memorial Bike Ride from Hollywood to Washington, D.C., and they will be stopping in Palm Springs Tuesday night.
According to the Palm Springs Police Department, the bicycle riders are a bit behind schedule, but were anticipated to arrive in Palm Springs at 5:30 p.m., where they will stop at the Palm Springs Police Department to meet Chief Reyes and other officers, in honor of Gil Vega and Lesley Zerebney who were shot to death in 2016.
Officers Vega and Zerebny were killed in the line of duty during a domestic call last September.

According to the Palm Springs Police Department, after the Law Enforcement Memorial Bike Ride departs Palm Springs, the riders will head off to finish their tour to arrive in Washington, D.C. next week. KESQ and CBS Local 2 will be at the police department as the riders arrive.
