Thousands two-step into Stagecoach for country music fun
The Stagecoach country music festival kickoff Friday at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio.
Some arrived in style with steel steeds decked out in Stagecoach decor. Featuring equal parts patriotism and hints of future hangovers to come.
Some festvial-goers were a little more laid back by taking a shuttle and sipping on something strong from a red Solo cup. Fans are excited for some of the top stars in country music.
“The line up is pretty good this year. I have never seen Shania Twain or Dierks Bentley so I am super excited for them,” said Daniella Romanaggi who had gone to multiple Stagecoach festivals in the past.

Winds were constant on Friday night, but not strong enough to create problems. Crews soaked down parking lots with water trucks to keep the dust down.
As with the past two weekends of the Coachella Music and Arts festival, police have been on the look out for people who might have too much alcohol, as well as possible pickpockets who boosted several cell phones during the festival.
