Traffic delays expected in Rancho Mirage due to CVWD work

Multiple lanes will be closed for over a week in Rancho Mirage due to Coachella Valley Water District construction.

The intersection of Ramon Road and Bob Hope Drive will have multiple lane closures as the CVWD continues to perform upgrades to the domestic water distribution system.

The closures are expected to begin on Wednesday, June 7th at 11 p.m. and are expected through Friday, June 16.

Work hours will be from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., weekdays. However, for safety reasons, lane closures will remain in effect 24 hours a day, until project completion.

After the work on the intersection is complete, the project will continue south on Bob Hope Drive to Dinah Shore Drive, causing more lane closures.

The project is expected to be complete by August 2017.
