Fireworks awareness and safety stressed for pets

With the Fourth of July less than a month away, its around this time pet owners get their furry friends ready for fireworks. This comes as Cathedral City High School will be having a fireworks display after its graduation ceremony, giving a reminder for pet owners.

Fireworks can scare many pets causing them to run away and wind up missing.

News Channel 3’s and CBS Local 2’s Jeremy Chen spoke with pet owners and pet experts at Animal Samaritans and what people need to know in order to keep their pets safe and calm when the fireworks go off.
