City of Palm Springs launches website on homeless services

The City of Palm Springs launches website to inform residents of homeless services in the city.

The website pshelpforhomeless.com provides residents with the latest information on homeless services and programs underway in Palm Springs, along with the work of the City’s Homeless Task Force.

“With the closing of Roy’s Desert Resource Center at the end of the month, the City Council wants to make sure the community is up to date on what the Task Force is doing and the types of homeless and mental health services and outreach currently available in Palm Springs,” said City Manager David H. Ready.

The page provides a Homeless Directory, information about the City’s partnership with Riverside County to provide mental health homeless outreach services, highlights related to the City’s successful computer lab program, background on the Homeless Task Force as well as information on the transition following the upcoming closure of Roy’s.

“The City Council and members of the Homeless Task Force are working hard to find solutions to combat homelessness on the west end of the Coachella Valley,” said Ready. “It is important we keep our community up to date and informed about services available and plans for the future.”
