Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott reopens in Palm Desert

Palm Desert’s newest hotel is now open for business. The hotels first guest checked in Friday afternoon after the reopening of the Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott in Palm Desert.

The 108-room hotel is right next to the DMV, at the intersection of Cook Street and Technology Drive. The company plans on opening another Fairfield Inn brand hotel off Jefferson Street in Indio, near I-10.

“Fairfield Inn and Suites is Marriott’s mid-tier select service brand that caters really well to highway travelers going up and down the 10. That’s why your seeing a lot of development right here in Indio and back in Moreno Valley, because it’s the perfect brand to complement the highway, as well as the local business traveler and the leisure traveler that comes to the valley,” said Jeff Shockley the vice president of asset management.

The hotel plans on having an official ribbon-cutting and grand opening party in the early part of the fall.
