New CEO of Desert Regional Medical Center appointed
Michele Finney has been named new CEO of Desert Regional Medical Center, effective immediately.
Finney had been serving as interim CEO of Desert Regional since her appointment in February as CEO of Tenet Healthcare’s Desert market.

In addition to her position at Desert Regional, Finney will continue to serve as market CEO, overseeing the operations of Tenet’s three-hospital system. This includes Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, JFK Memorial Hospital in Indio, and Hi-Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree, as well as clinics, urgent care centers and surgery centers.
“After a thoughtful and deliberate selection process, the Desert Regional Medical Center Governing Board members and I felt that Michele was the right person to fill this important position,” said Jeffrey Koury, CEO of Tenet Healthcare’s Western Region. “Since coming to the hospital, she has brought exceptional leadership skills, valuable operational experience, abundant energy and a strong sense of purpose to her role as interim CEO, as well as a renewed focus on patient safety and quality of care.”
