Multi-car crash involving big rig slows traffic on HWY 86

A crash involving several cars and a big rig occurred on Highway 86 near Avenue 50 in Coachella Thursday afternoon.

KESQ News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 is waiting for more information from authorities about the cause of the crash and any possible injuries that may have occurred.

Photos sent to our newsroom by viewer Anthony Reyes showed that one car was majorly damaged in the crash. Traffic slowed in the area as the collision was blocking one lane.
