Major deadline has solar employees working feverishly during heat wave

Solar companies continue to work in the heat as employees try to complete orders as a major deadline approaches in July.

Jeremy Chen with KESQ News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 met with some solar employees in Palm Desert Friday morning to see how they’re coping with the conditions. As the weather is already scorching for anyone outside, it’s not as hot as the surface of a solar panel, and that’s what workers are dealing with.

Solar energy officials we met with said the safety of their employees is a top priority, and homeowners may still have a chance to save money on their electric bill even if they miss the deadline.
