Buzz trolley service delays expected to end Thursday

City of Palm Springs Communications Director, Amy Blaisdell, told KESQ News Channel 3 & CBS Local 2 that all Buzz Trolley delays are expected to end on Thursday.

“During extreme heat sometimes the radiators overheat and belts break, that sort of thing. It just all sort of happened at once,” said Blaisdell. “All of the trolleys are expected to be working again by Thursday and we don’t expect any more delays.”

Blaisdell also said the Buzz Trolley will not run on July 3rd or 4th.

The Palm Springs Buzz trolley’s are also feeling the effects of this dangerous heat wave in the Coachella Valley. According to Buzz officials, s ome of the vehicles are suffering heat exhaustion so the trolley’s aren’t running as frequently as usual.

The trolley’s usually run every 15 minutes throughout downtown Palm Springs. But due to the heat, officials said the free trolley’s are now running every 30 minutes.

Buzz officials posted the updated schedule on Facebook. KESQ & CBS Local 2 will keep you updated when the Buzz trolley’s begin operating on the normal schedule once again.
