TV station blood drive kicks off 9 Cities Challenge for Coachella Valley

2017 marks the fifth year for the Nine Cities Blood Drive Challenge.

The challenge creates a friendly competition across the Coachella Valley, to see which community will get the most involved in collecting blood donations. Lifestream urges city leaders to spread the word about blood donation and encourage donors to help local hospital patients.

To kick it all off, KESQ News Channel 3, CBS Local 2, and Telemundo Noticias 15 are teaming up for a blood drive at the television station.

If you want to help save a life, here’s the info:

KESQ News Channel 3, CBS Local 2, and Telemundo Noticias 15 Blood Drive Friday, June 30, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. 31276 Dunham Way, Thousand Palms, in the Bloodmobile

Every donor at the June 30 event will receive a complimentary, single-day admission ticket to Wet’n’Wild Palm Springs and a coupon for a complimentary combo meal from Jack in the Box.

To make an appointment, contact Kathleen at 760-772-0342. Walk-ins are welcome but appointments are encouraged.
