Local movie director’s home in Cathedral City burglarized

Local movie director speaks out after his home on Rio Vista in Cathedral City was broken into in broad daylight.

Christian Sesma and his family left their home to run errands for about an hour and when they returned their home had been broken into and ransacked.

Sesma says the burglars stole over 10 years of his work including his laptop and hard drives that stored his work for upcoming films.

“That’s all stuff. The point is no one was home, the kids weren’t home, the dog was super scared in the back but nobody was home. Luckily that’s the biggest thing, that no one was here when that was going on,” Sesma said.

Sesma says the thieves even broke into his daughter’s piggy bank.

No arrests have been made. Police are investigating.
