Theodore Roosevelt Elementary teacher wins February One Class At A Time award

MRS DEIDRE MURPHEY

It can make all the difference to nurture healthy habits at an early age. Being mindful of where your food comes from can make all the difference in your health.

That's why Deirdre Murphy of Theodore Roosevelt Elementary School is KESQ's "One Class At A Time" award recipient for the month of February, winning a $500 award from Walter Clark Legal Group.

She says she plans on using the funds on the school garden to teach her students about plant life cycles and composting.
