DHS Appoints An Interim City Manager

The City of Desert Hot Springs dug up fromits past to fill the recently vacated City Manager position.

The city’s former interim police chief John Hensley was appointed as the interim City Manager.

The decision came during a special meeting to choose a temporary replacement for Anne Marie Gallant, who resigned late last week.

No reason was stated as the cause of Gallant’s resignation.

Hensley was already on contract with the city to help transition the police force to its new leadership under police chief Patrick Williams.

Hensley is also involved in moving the Desert Hot Springs emergency dispatch control to Cathedral City.
