New Google Allows Users To Reach The ‘Sky’

(AP) – The heavens are only a few mouses clicks away with Google’s latest free tool.

A new feature in Google Earth — the company’s satellite imagery-based mapping software — allows users to view the sky from Earth.

The tool provides information about various celestial bodies, from stars to planets, and includes imagery from the Hubble Space Telescope. It also allows users to go take virtual tours through various galaxies, including the Milky Way.

Google calls the new product Sky. It was developed at Google’s Pittsburgh engineering office.
