Salton Sea Body Ruled As A Suspicious Death

A body found floating in the Salton Sea near North Shore is being ruled a suspicious death, deputies reported Saturday.

The body was foundwhen a helicopter pilot flying over the Salton Sea noticed it floating in the water near the Desert Shores Marina around 7:30 Saturday morning.

Riverside County Deputies reported to the area and recovered the body.

The body is being described as a man 5’8″ to 6’0″ tall. He was also wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and black boots.

Deputies believe the body was the result of a homicide.
