Suspect Arrested In Attempted Kidnapping, One On The Run

One man is in jail accused of kidnapping a teenager he helped get into America from Mexico.

And another man is on the run after escaping from police

It happened just before 3 this afternoon at the AM/PM just off the Interstate 10 at 22nd Street.

The smugglers met the father and were supposed to turn over the teen.

But the smugglers demanded more money.

When the father wouldn’t pay, the smugglers took off with his son.

Officers arrived and took the father away to search for the son.

A few hours later, police recovered the teen at a Valero station in the Windy Point area.

They also arrested 1 of the 2 suspects.

The other escaped and now police need your help finding him.

Police say the suspect at large was dropped off before they could arrest him.

They’re now looking for a hispanic male last seen wearing silver colored pants and a dark colored shirt.

Police believe he’s on foot and unarmed.

The son is now with his father.

Police have turned over the case to immigration and custom enforcement.
