Flash Flood Warning In Effect For The Valley

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for the Coachella Valley until 1:15 p.m. Thursday, the News Channel 3’s First Alert Weather Team has learned.

Meteorologists with the NWS out of San Diego reported flash flooding in parts of the Valley at around 10 a.m. this morning.

The effected cities include Palm Springs, Indio, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Coachella, and Cathedral City.

Forecasters have warned of mud and rock slides withe the potential to trap people caught in its path.

Forecasters are also warning drivers to not drive where water covers the roadway and to move to higher ground.
