CalFire, CHP Respond To ‘Air Emergency’ In Rancho Mirage
CalFire crews and California Highway Patrol officers are responding to an “air emergency” by a hot air balloon in distress, officials reported.
According to CalFire, the balloon appeared to be in distress over Interstate 10 just before 4:30 p.m. Reports said the balloon appeared to be going down.
Officers then said the balloon appeared to land in an area near Dinah Shore Drive and Avenue 35.
Emergency crews are headed to that area but there was no confirmation of a crash.
