Las Vegas came out on top in Travel Leaders 2009 Travel Trends Survey as the number one domestic destination for the year ahead. Orlando is close behind in second place, followed by Maui.
In fact, there are great deals right now in all three of those destinations.
Hotels in Las Vegas are slashing prices to fill rooms. Disney is offering seven nights at Disney World in Orlando for the price of four. James says the hottest ticket in town right now is Hawaii. There is airfare starting at $279 roundtrip, but the travel dates are restricted.
Caribbean Cruising and Cancun, Mexico top the list for international destinations in 2009.
Exchange rates are favorable in Canada and Europe.
Some travelers are even considering exchanging money now for future trips.
The top tips from travel leaders for the best deals include searching for all inclusive deals, waiting for special promotions, and flexibility with dates.
