String Of Robberies Continues: Burger King Held-Up

A string of fast-food robberies appeared to continued around the Coachella Valley with a hold-up at a Burger King in Bermuda Dunes.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, a man carrying a long rifle walked into the restaurant on Varner Road just offInterstate 10, a block east of WashingtonStreet, at 10 Tuesday night.

Deputies say workers didn’t get a good look at the suspect because they ran into the back room to hide. No word on how much money he got away with.

There has been a string of fast-food and convenience store robberies around the Desert since December.
