California Among Unhappiest States

People in Nebraska are happier than you.

That’s according to MainStreet.com’s new Happiness Index.

It rates all fifty states and the District of Columbia based on their levels of debt, foreclosures, and unemployment.

Nebraska got the top spot because it has the second-fewest foreclosures and the second-lowest unemployment rate.

Here’s the rest of the top ten.

2) Iowa

3) Kansas

4) Hawai’i

5) Lousiana

6) Oklahoma

7) Wyoming

8) South Dakota

9) West Virginia

10) Wisconsin

California ranks 49th, while Oregon came in last.
