Nearly $200,000 In Cocaine Seized By Agents In Indio

INDIO- Border Patrol agents seized more than a kilogram of cocaine and nearly as much heroin on Wednesday, worth more than $164,000.

Agents say drug-sniffing dogsfound it on a passenger bus that was going through an inspection checkpoint Wednesday night. the dog alerted the agents to a large shopping bag, where inside, they found two wood-framed pictures. The frames were taken apart, and the cocaine and heroin were hidden inside.

The passenger claiming the bag was a citizen of Mexico and in possession of false immigration documents, and was taken into custody.
