Snow Day Declared At Christian Schools Of The Desert

BERMUDA DUNES -The warm weather didn’t stop one Coachella Valley school from holding a snow day today.

Christian Schools of the Desert hauled in 30-tons of snowto celebrate the last day of school before Winter Break.

This is the third annual event there.

A group of fathersknown as “The Watchdogs” raised the money to bring this winter wonderland on campus.

Each classroom had a half-hour to take advantage of the white stuff.

“It’s very fun because my dad’s involved in it,” said Olivia Borchert, a second grade student at the school. “And my friend — her dad is the top dog of watchdog. Last year, i missed it because i was sick.”

Coachella Valley Ice delivered the snow. Students return to schoolJanuary fourth.
