Palm Springs Upgrades Online Image To Lure Tourists

PALM SPRINGS – The Palm Springs Bureau of Tourism announced a new way to lure tourists to the desert in the wake of a weak economy and fewer travelers.

Along with the Palm Springs Convention Center, the duo have launched interactive upgrades to the city’s two visitor websites.

On “VisitPalm Springs.com,” visitors will now have the ability to search for different types of lodging, search activities by interest level, search events, and more. The site also will feature mapping, video and photos.

“Both Web sites have a complementary look and similar functions,” said Jim Dunn, Executive Director of SMG Palm Springs. “We incorporated the stunning natural beauty and modern design, as well as the diversity of our community.”

On the convention center site (palmspringscc.com), planners and convention-goers can now use an interactive floor plan schematic, request proposals online, and more.

“The City of Palm Springs is excited about these important new Web site upgrades,” said City Manager David Ready. “We expect they will help us tremendously as we reach out to all generations of visitors coming to Palm Springs.”
