Visitor Dies In Traffic Collision While Crossing Street
PALM SPRINGS -One man is dead after a collision involving a pedestrian and a truck.
The police say it happened just after 8:00 p.m.Saturday.
They say a man was crossing the road on Racquet Club, west of Cerritos Road, when he was hit by a pickup truck.
The man was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center, where he died less than an hour later.
The victim has been identified as Daniel Sitko, 64,of Jackson, Michigan.
The police have not decided whether the driver will face charges. The incident remains under investigation.
