Hemet Man Charged With Posing As Officer

HEMET -A Hemet man is out of jail on bail, but facing criminal charges for allegedly posing as a federal officer to deport a woman.

Thirty-seven-year-old Gregory Raymond Denny allegedly dressed up as a border patrol officer, entered a home, and handcuffed a woman.

Police then say he took her to a border patrol station where he was told there was no warrant for her arrest.

Then he drove her to the San Diego Airport, and put her on a plane to the Philippines.

Investigators say he passed through the airport without proper credentials with the woman still in handcuffs.

Denny is out of jail on $50,000 bail.
