President Clinton Returns Home After Heart Procedure

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -Former President Bill Clinton is recovering at his suburban New York City home with his wife after leaving a Manhattan hospital where he underwent a heart procedure.

A spokesman says Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is also at the Clinton home in Chappaqua.

Three black SUVs with tinted windows arrived around 7:45 a.m. Friday and pulled through the high gates at the house, after the former president left an upper Manhattan hospital.

The Westchester County hamlet is about 35 miles north of New York City.

State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley said Mrs. Clinton is at the home.

Clinton adviser Douglas Band said in a statement that Clinton left New York Presbyterian Hospital “in excellent health.”
