Police Investigating Deadly Crash In Palm Desert
PALM DESERT – Police are investigating a deadly crash in Palm Desert.
It happenedFriday night just after 10:00 p.m.on Cook Street, near Joni Drive.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department has identified the body as Daniel Damon,52,of Palm Desert.
Police say he was attempting to cross Cook Street outside a marked crosswalk.As he stepped off the center median,he was struck by a vehicle going southbound on Cook Street.
No word if alcohol or drugs played a factor in the crash.
The southbound lanes of Cook Street were shut down for five hours during the investigation.
Police are asking anyone with information on the crash to give them a call.
