Police Search For Group Behind Cathedral City Stabbing

CATHEDRAL CITY -A stabbing victim is recovering after an armed robbery in Cathedral City overnight.

Police say it happened on the 68-600 block of Corral Road near Cathedral Canyon.

Officers say three men– all hispanic– between 18 and 20 years old– approached the victims walking on the sidewalk.

One of the victims explains what happened next.

“The three guys pull a knife, andI lay on the floor. I told them, don’t hurt me. I given everything I have. I give my phone. I don’t have anything else.”

One of the suspects stabbed the other victim in the abdomen.

He’s out of the hospitalafter treatment at Desert Regional Medical Center. Police are still looking for the three suspects.
