Bad Weather Delays Road Improvement Project

PALM DESERT -Due to weather conditions, paving and striping improvements on Monterey Avenue at the intersections with Frank Sinatra and Gerald Ford Drives has been delayed one day. Therefore, construction of intersection paving will occur on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 thru Wednesday, February 24, 2010.
Revised Intersection Paving Dates:
Tuesday, February 23, 2010 – Frank Sinatra Drive will be closed between Portola Avenue in Palm Desert and Bob Hope Drive in both directions all day, restricted to local traffic only.
Wednesday, February 24, 2010 – Gerald Ford Drive will be closed between Portola Avenue in Palm Desert and Bob Hope Drive in both directions all day, restricted to local traffic only.
During intersection paving, Monterey Avenue will be open; however, lane restrictions will occur.
Traffic delays should be expected and alternative routes are recommended.
This project is identified as a Measure A – CVAG regional transportation project and is a joint agency project with the City of Palm Desert.
