Dance Instructor Out On Bail, Faces Sex Charges

PALM DESERT -A local dance instructor is out of jail after posting bail,facing several child sex charges.
Police say Karl Green had sex with a child, and may have triedmore times with under-age girls while working at several dance studios around the Coachella Valley.
Police arrested Green at his La Quinta home Friday.
The investigation began Feb. 9 when police got a tip that Green had a relationship with a minor from April 2006 to October 2008, said Herlinda Valenzuela, a spokesperson for the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Green is a dance instructor for several high schools and private studios in the Coachella Valley.
An investigation revealed Green met a minor at the Desert Valley All- Star Maverick dance studio on the 73600 block of Dinah Shore in Palm Desert and had sex with her in a house in that city, Valenzuela said.
Investigators said they believe Green solicited other girls in Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Palm Springs, La Quinta and Palm Springs.
