Whitewater Man Electrocuted By Air Conditioner

WHITEWATER -A Whitewater man who was apparently electrocuted while working on an air conditioning unit was identified today.

Jose Solorio, 28, was pronounced dead at 10:10 a.m. at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, according to the Riverside County Coroner’s Office.

Firefighters responded to a report of an electrocution around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at a home in the 60400 block of Painted Hills Drive, which is north of Whitewater, said Jody Hagemann, spokeswoman for the Riverside County Fire Department.

Solorio was found in cardiac arrest outside of the home near an air conditioning unit, Hagemann said.

Paramedics took the man to a local trauma center, where he died, the coroner’s office reported.
