Small Mudslide Blocks Route 243
BANNING -A small mud slide blocked lanes today on state Route 243 south of Banning, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The slide was reported around 6:45 a.m. on the highway about one mile south of Banning, leaving lanes covered by rocks, boulders and mud, according to the CHP.
Most of the debris was moved to the side of the roadway by 7 a.m., the CHP reported, and Caltrans was responding to clean up the rest of the mess.
