Dozen People Arrested During Coachella DUI Checkpoint
COACHELLA -Police in Coachella are cracking down on drunk drivers this weekend.
A DUIcheckpoint was heldFriday night from 7:00 to 2:00 a.m. Saturday morning. It was conducted along Grapefruit Boulevard at Ed Mitchell.
More than 850 vehicles were screened.A dozen people were arrested includingnine forDUI andthree for a theft warrant.
Police also handed out 18 citations and 13 vehicles were towed.
