The First Debate For California GOP Race For Senate Seat Scheduled

SACRAMENTO – The first debate has been scheduled in California’s GOP race for a senate seat.

The campaigns for all three Republican candidates say they have an accepted an invitation from Sacramento radio station KTKZ to a one-hour debate March 5.

Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, former Silicon Valley Rep. Tom Campbell and Orange County Assemblyman Chuck DeVore are seeking to challenge Sen. Barbara Boxer. Boxer is running for a fourth term this year.

The debate will be aired at noon on the “The Capitol Hour” show with Eric Hogue.

A recent poll by the Public Policy Institute of California showed Campbell leads among likely voters in the GOP primary.
