Hemet Police Need Help Finding Murder Suspect

Police today sought public help in finding a transient in connection with the death of a Hemet woman.

Christopher Scott Lewis, 39, who has falsely claimed to be a Marine, was last seen wearing a light blue beanie cap, a light-colored long-sleeved T- shirt, dark camouflage fatigue pants and black boots, according to Hemet police.

Investigators believe he fled Hemet following the death of 49-year-old Robin Livesay, Hemet police Cpl. Jeff Dill said.

Police have not said how Livesay died.

The woman’s body was found about 10:20 a.m. Tuesday in the 3000 block of West Florida Avenue, according to Hemet police Cpl. Jeff Dill.

Anyone with information on Lewis’ whereabouts is asked to call Hemet police at (951) 765-2400.
