“Operation Safe Coachella” Continues

Ten people were arrested during a citywide warrant sweep Friday, police said.

The sweep started at 6 a.m. and ended at 2 p.m., according to sheriff’s Sgt. Mike Tapp.

Seven were arrested on drunken driving warrants, including Jessyca Rose Brown, 33, of Coachella, Ibarra Esteban, 33, of Coachella, Jasmin Luisa Garcia, 27, of Coachella, Joana Hernandez, 25, of Coachella, Roberto Manriquez, 44, of Coachella, Gustavo Meza, 36, of Coachella and Rolando Vargas, 27, of Coachella.

Three were arrested on narcotics-related warrants, including Daniel Flores, 38 of Indio, Gustavo Meza, 36 of Coachella and Jesus Orozco, 29 of Coachella.

The sweep was part of “Operation Safe Coachella,” which puts deputies on the street with warrants in their hands to track down suspects, Tapp said.
