Toddler Hit By Car In Cathedral City

A toddler is recovering today after being hit by a car.

Police say the boy was with his mother at a home on the 32-600 block of Navajo Trail in Cathedral City Sunday night.

While the mother was talking with a friend, the boy walked away toward the street.

His mother saw him, and tried to run after him and yell to him, but the boy ran out into the street and was hit by a vehicle.

He was taken to the hospital, and treated for a broken leg and a large cut to his head.

Police say the driver was not hurt, but was visibly shaken by the collision.

Police say he will not be cited.
