Varner Road Back Open After Chemical Spill
Varner Road at Ramon is back open, this afternoon.
A morning car crash involving a car and a truck carrying pool cleaning chemicals shut down the intersection at 8:15, this morning.
Some 30-40 gallons of pool chemicals apparently spilled closing the road.
As for the drivers involved, two of them received moderate injuries. The Hazardous Materials team is on the scene making sure the spills are contained and cleaned up, and making sure the air is ok to breathe.
