Gas Leak Prompts Evacuations In Indio
A gas leak at a mobile home park in Indio prompted fire officials to help evacuate some residents.
The leak was reported at 11:25am at Las Palmas De La Quinta along the 80-000 block of Avenue 48 in Indio.
Cal Fire was called out to help evacuate 15 units while gas crews capped the leak. Residents were allowed back in their homes at 11:45am.
The cause of the gas rupture is being invesitgated.
