Woman Escapes Mobile Home Fire
One woman is hospitalized after escaping her burning mobile home in Thousand Palms, fire officials said.
The blaze was reported 6:26 a.m. at 73326 Broadmoor Drive in the Tri- Palm Estates mobile home park, said Cheri Patterson of the Riverside County Fire Department.
A woman suffered a knee injury while evacuating her home, Patterson said.
She told firefighters that smoke detectors alerted her to the fire, according to Patterson.
The cause was under investigation.
Callers to Newsline 3 reported seeing smoke several miles away.
