Car Riddled With Bullets Leaves Three Injured

One person was shot, and two others wounded in a drive-by shooting that that sent a car swerving into a telephone poll, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

The car hit the pole at West 7th Street and South Lion Avenue in San Jacinto at 10:31am, Friday.

Authorities responded to what they thought was just an accident. A sheriff’s spokeswoman says they quickly found out they were dealing with something else. The car was riddled with bullet holes, and one person inside the car was shot.

Two others sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash. All three were transported to a hospital for treatment.

Investigators are now looking for the gunman. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department immediately.
